Carlos M. Mora — Writer / Director
Founder & Creative Director
Writer · Director · Producer
I tell stories through the camera lens — and I've been doing it for two decades.
As a writer-director, I've built a body of work that spans short films, a feature, and a growing slate of TV pilots and spec scripts. My films have screened at 11+ festivals worldwide. My feature Love Pyar Whatever has streamed on Amazon Prime and Tubi. My screenplay Never Have to Say Goodbye won Best Screenplay at ShockFest.
My most recent shorts were shot on 35mm Kodak film in Sicily, Italy, through the Terre di Cinema intensive program — a fellowship that brought together directors and cinematographers from around the world under the sponsorship of ARRI, Kodak Motion Picture Film, Cooke Optics, and Panalight.
I trained at UCLA's Professional Programs in both Directing and Screenwriting, and I've completed assignments for producers in Los Angeles and New York. I sold my first spec feature, Grave Desperation, to an indie production company.
By day, I am a licensed Professional Engineer — a discipline that sharpened my approach to structure, precision, and problem-solving on set and on the page. My production company, ThothScribe Films, is based in the Bay Area.
Currently developing a slate of features and TV pilots, including a vertical thriller series and an American-Bollywood feature adaptation. Open to representation, collaboration, and production partnerships.
